Need a go anywhere kind of knife? well look no further. Bear Grylls knows best when it comes to survival, whether it be slicing open animal carcasses to keep warm or slaying underworld demons you’ll want to have this puppy by your side. It’s made of a 13-1/2-inch high carbon steel angled blade that will probably cut through anything. For just $30 you’ll get this mighty weapon plus a nice protective pouch to keep this weapon concealed but you’ll probably look more badass without it.

An inside ”mechanism” is said to move water up and down to indicate time. I’m not entirely sure how it works. By my count there are twelve notches on either side of the clock so im going to assume that’s how the time is being indicated. Pretty neat idea!

Microsoft very close to buying Skype for 7 Billion!
Published May 10, 2011 Uncategorized Leave a CommentGoogle kicks off their I/O tech extravaganza event tomorrow! Some very exciting news is rumored to be announced soon regarding Google Music.
Google music allows users to upload 20,000 songs for free and then stream this music to your computer or Android phone or tablet (any device hat supports flash, sorry Apple folks.) This is very similar to Amazon’s cloud service which offers 5GB (roughly 1200 songs) so Google’s service will trump Amazon’s. Check back soon for the official announcement.

If you’re like me then you’ve probably made a stop at your local Starbucks once or twice to use their internet. Perhaps to check an important email or had to find directions.
Well no more! thanks to Ford! They have announced they’ll be updating their in-car SYNC with MYFORD touch technology. This will add a wi-fi hotspot for up to five passengers to connect to! It’s nice of Ford to bring this luxurious necessity into more economical vehicles wouldn’t you say? The only other car that I have heard of having WiFi is the 2011 BMW 5 series and other much more expensive vehicles. Expect it to be available on the Ford Focus models in the UK next year. I should clarify that Ford won’t be providing the actual internet service. That you will have to subscribe to on your own. More interestingly, if Ford can start providing this feature then other car manufacturers will soon follow. Can you imagine? you’ll be connected everywhere you go! now our next step towards the future will be to have WiFi available on public transit, on a park bench, sitting on a curb in downtown Vancouver EVERYWHERE! anything under 20mbps will be free for public use. You only pay for super high-speed services… ok, maybe a bit ambitious but I think it WILL happen…
The oh-so beautiful iMac’s with much anticipation have finally been released.
With the recent updates to the Macbook pro and iPad product lines, it was only a matter of time before the iMac’s got the same treatment. Today, Apple have officially released the new iMac’s! Updates include an i5 quad-core processor to the entire lineup a step-up from the previous i3 configuration. An HD 720p camera is equipped on all models allowing users to experience face-time in HD. They’ve also improved the graphics card on all models ranging from AMD Radeon 6750M 512MB to AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB. 4GB of memory is now standard on all models with the option to expand up to 16GB, thunderbolt is also equipped on all models allowing you to experience data transfers 20x faster than USB 2.0 -very impressive!
What I would like to see is the option to add a workstation graphics card and lower prices for upgrades. Apple still wants over $630 for 16GB of ram which is pretty steep..
Overall, these are good improvements across the board. If you’re not doing any intensive work or gaming the entry-level models are priced very well at $1199.99 however, if you want to deck out the iMac’s you’ll still need to dig deep in your pockets. I guess if you want design and performance you’ll just need to fork it out. Apple wins.
